Great Expectations

Before i came to college i had various notions on what it was going to be like, what i was going to do, who i was going to be.

So far none of those have come to pass.

Excluding the obvious ones like living on my own and doing my own laundry.

[duh]

It just goes to show that your perception of life and how you see yourself in it is a lot different than what is true or what will be.

So plan for the best, and realize that it's not going to always be what you want it to be.

3292.12 Miles Traveled So Far...

i know i know it's been since january...but i'm kind of a monthly blogger anyways.i'll admit that.

anywho

my summer-

i wish i could say that i've journeyed through the African terrain helping diseased tortoises recuperate to once again be thrown back into the wild. That would be really awesome and all but i am more than happy to say that i have been privlaledged enough to work for my Grandparents while they go through a really tough time in their lives.

Gma has breast cancer that has matastisized to her liver

Gpa has a Glioblastoma, or GBM tumor of the brain

Since May i've traveled approximately 3292.12 miles (that doesn't count the flyer miles)

The Gparents live in Arizona and their treatments are in California, hence the traveling.

So they hired me to help.
Surprisingly it's gone by really fast.

Even though i haven't gone boating in Lake Powell or been out tanning everyday by the pool, i've had a good summer.

Spending time with family members who don't have much time left is worth missing out on a summer full of adventures.
